Hi all,
In a bit of a quandry. I recently agreed to do some photographs for my local community centres new website ( of which I am a committee member), I was chuffed and received a small renumeration for my time. Obviously I was aware that these were for said website and all I asked was recognition for my work.
Nearly all the images I took were used, including on the opening page. I am slightly miffed as not being credited for the images, however what really gets my goat is the fact that the company who designed and produced the website have used the images on their own site as part of their portfolio.
Am I being over sensitive or should I "ave a word".

Did you have a contract in place?

Is the company that did the page completely separate company/organisation?

Links?

No contract with Community Centre, and all I knew was the the images would be used on Centres website, not the website of the the commercial company who would design and produce our website.

Hi Rob, you are in the gap of understanding what you wanted to do for them, and what they wanted from you.

If what you did was a 'Favour' (forget the money for now) and asked for recognition, then have a quiet word to sort that side out.

If what you did was a 'Job' then you should have sorted that side out in the aggreement. I'm guessing there isn't one, so have a quiet word to sort that side out.

No need to get all huff and puff just yet ;)

Phil.
