Hi,
I thought i would post this on the forums for anyone that was considering purchasing anything from Digitalrev.com.
I placed an order for a 50D with a load of accessories yesterday with them and then this morning woke to find that I had an email from them saying that my transaction could not be processed due to a discrepancy in the information provided (i know the information provided was correct) See below for extract.
This i thought of as very stange so i refused to send them information that could be used to "clone" me. After informing them of this via email then cancelled my order, which is fair enough, dont expect them to send me it without me paying for it
I then checked on my CC statement and it shows that payment has been taken, this is despite the site indicating that no payment would be taken until the items are ready for dispatch. So they wont send me the items because they want me to prove the card is mine yet have taken payment from it?
So i phone them up and let them know this and they agree to refund the money, but this could take up to 2 weeks WTF?!?!?! but they could not give a reason why it would take so long to do so even though their site clearly states refund would be done within 72 hours.
So I am now left with no camera on the way and £1250 worth of CC bill to pay. Not very happy. But on the plus side should the refund not appear in 2 weeks time the CC company will refund me and chase the company up. So this has become a nuisance as it means i will not be able to get my new camera for at least 2 more weeks, if not longer :shake:
So if you do decide to do business with this lot, be VERY CAREFUL.
Regards
EDIT: I also to add that after refusing to send them the information they even frooze my account on their so I am unable to even log in to it. Guess they dont want me around anymore

Thank you for your order. Before we can proceed with your order, we need to verify your credit card for the protection of the card holder. This extra step is required for this order, because of ONE of the following: - The Card Holder’s Name does not match the Recipient’s Name as it appears in the Shipping Address. - You have not provided a landline telephone number or the number provided is invalid.- The security code you have provided is incorrect.- The invoice address does not match the credit’s card billing address. We therefore request you to fax us 1) a copy of a valid photo ID (e.g. Driving License with Photo, Passport or National ID Card) showing your - Name (must be the same as the cardholder’s) And 2) a valid proof of the shipping address. This can be in the form of:- Utility Bill (Gas, Water, Electricity or Landline telephone)- Bank Statement- Credit Card Statement
