This may well be a long shot but worth a try nonetheless.
I have an Olympus digital recorder that my wife used to record some messages to me & her family before cancer took her away last year. I haven't listened to them yet as I can't bring myself to just now.
I'm paranoid though that I'll lose them due to damage or any other reason so desperately want to back them up onto cd/hdd but the only output is a mono headphone output or the built in speaker.
Is there anyone who could do a decent job of transferring this for me as this is the only record I have of my wife's voice
