We bough Mum one for Christmas, from argross she was over the moon, with it. Looks fine to me, but not sure if it would be classed as professional standard though?
Just a little twist on this, when i was in The States last year they had them in Wal Mart, 15inch version at $99.(£55 approx) so why are they so damn expensive in good old Blighty.
Have you tried Ebay?

I bought what was supposedly one of the better ones earlier in the year, an 8inch Daewoo... ended up as a mothers day present. My own fault in some ways, should've done more homework.
It couldn't cope with subtle colour gradients, really blocky...although ok for shots with busy backgrounds. I also slipped up in the format...16:9 is a real struggle to present most of your images in.
Our suppliers only go up to 8" frames I'm afraid. We have one left in stock. It's got a white frame, and is the same as described here.
I can probably get away with selling the last one for £90 + VAT if the 8" is any good.
Just back from town and saw one very similar to the living images one in boots for £99 so I'll drag my client along and see what he thinks. resolution is a wee bit low but it might do him.
