My father has been in a nursing home for 6 months now and will be staying there.

It is his birthday soon and i would like to buy a digital photo frame that my brother and I can put SD (or similar) cards in, to scroll through photo's of his children and grand children.

Nothing expensive - circa £40.00

Any advise/recomendations?

I recently bought a FujiFilm 7'' digital frame for my mum. She was chuffed with it, especially as it's got a little remote and can do a slide show straight off the SD card, as well as having a clock, calendar and alarm.

Currently £39.97 at Tesco's http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-5166.aspx

I would recommend the Technika X80 - you can find it at tescos for £40 and I bought it as Which magazine recommended it in a recent test as their best buy and as good as many more expensive (and well known) models - its an 8 inch model. Very pleased with it indeed. Which magazine do also warn you not to get the cheaper X70 model which is bizzarely enough their worst model they tested, on grounds of poor picture quality. The X80 is far better.
