A lot of camera for the price, I had thought of selling mine but wouldn't get much for it now. Probably stick the GF 50mm on it and finally relegate my XP2, third world problems :-(
These sure do depreciate quickly.GFX 50R cheaper new than used, wow!

Stop it !!!! I've had a play with a 50S II and was impressed, I could live with the AF performance, not sure about the R despite that stonking price, any reply you give that results in me buying a GFX of any flavour can and will be used in evidence against you when my bank account screams STOP DRAINING MEGFX50R down by £1,000 to £2,199 - Black Friday Deal (Wex at the moment) and some savings on lenses as well

Black Friday 2024 Fujifilm Deals now live! Prices won't go lower - while stocks last!www.wexphotovideo.com
In the past I've had to place seperate orders to get multiple lens discounts (just hopefully useful information)

Imagine? I did, well a few months after initial release. I’m still very happy with it. It’s had less use than expected as Covid came a soon after. I have the 50R for sale but end up keeping it to have a backup mf body.Released in September 2018 but Fujis do depreciate quickly, imagine having bought a GFX 100 on release!
Love to see how this works out, may have to get one myself if its good. Please let us know. Not bought much in Black Friday week, but did buy an EF-Bronica SQ adapter (40% or so discount) so now my GFX can sport my Bronica lenses

With these adapters it's very clear there is a wealth of oppertunity for some very interesting glass.
Generally the adapter glass isn’t as sharp as modern native glass - modern lenses usually have exceptional correction for distortion and chromatic aberration, and are often more flare resistant.
Older legacy lenses usually are less sharp, have more distortion and other artefacts (especially when adapting FF glass to the digital MF sensor), but they often have nice rendering. One advantage of the 50MP Fuji/Pentax sensor is that the pixel density isn’t super high, so the line pair ratio (resolving power) demands are not huge. They are however not lenses for pixel peepers!!
Pixco dumb adapter. PerfectThat takes me back!
BTW, which adapter are you using and how is it?
Awesome Trevor - the iconic FS1E….!
Thanks Pete. I used to work for a company called Sondel Sport. A motorcycle dealer in North London. We simply couldn’t get enough of them. Happy Days.Awesome Trevor - the iconic FS1E….!
My school mate in the mid 1970’s owned a Suzuki AP50 - wonderful Japanese machinery.

Great your from a motorcycle background Trevor, I’m similar, in 1978 I was an apprentice motorcycle mechanic for Noel Orr Motorcycles in Belfast, a large Honda dealership that sold bikes like hot cakes at the time …..especially the Super Dreams/Cubs/CX500’s etc….a great experience working there for four years. Thanks Pete. I was an early adopter of the original 50s and I love it but I wouldn't have foregone my X-T2s for it they fit a different bill. AF is fine, not as good as the XT-4 but more than acceptable. God knows how some modern day photographers would have managed even 5 years ago, I’m so bored with YouTube reviews on eye AF lolPete. How’re finding the AF
Yeah I’m going to have to work harder in the streets for sure without an XT or X100I was an early adopter of the original 50s and I love it but I wouldn't have foregone my X-T2s for it they fit a different bill. Happy GFX shooting.![]()
