Although it's not always an issue, you have to bear in mind that the GF23mm will (should) be a flat field lens whilst a Tilt-Shift lens will (by design) have some field curvature.

That said the Fuji glass is razor sharp, and some of the Canon glass won't be able to resolve well enough for the GFX100

I also understand that quite a bit of Zeiss glass has a large enough image circle as well.

Thanks David, also very helpful - I'll have a Google. It'd be one of the GFX50 models if I was going down this route. I'd be likely wanting to start with adapted glass with a view to trying the Fuji zoom options.

My 2p, the GFX50R (now down to £3K) is a real slab of a camera, its just not very pleasant but functionally good, the 50S on the other hand is much nicer to hold, but if you are doing landscape work then the tiltable EVF is a compulsory purchase, its a thing of wonder!!

Thanks, definitely prefer the larger grip and I've never been a fan of the rangefinder-type cameras so it'd be the 50S from the looks of things (if the GAS gets the better of me that is!)
 
So I've been obsessing about the Monochrom M10 for a couple of weeks now.. if I sell a few bits (leica q2, XCD 135 and stuff), I could get the monochrom and 28mm 1.4 - and keep my X1D II XCD 80.. .and actually use the Leica M lens on the X1D if I want a wide colour shot (because using my Sony A9 cameras would be a no-no hah)

This is XCD 80mm @ 1.9, was testing out e-shutter

It certainly has a lot of draw over using my Sony A9 - I prefer colour, more detail, highlight/shadow recovery is better - stuff I can't put into words, there's a lot to love.

Also it's encouraging me to make the most of it by pushing myself .. so it's worthwhile i think :D

Hi Dan I agree with this. Feedback on the pictures is much better too. I’m not sure if that’s placebo or if I’m making more effort. Would be good to do a blind test to check.

Someone commented on this image on Instagram - "Lovely photo. I think though that my iPhone 11 could do the same photo with the bokeh and all. I respect your field and understand that you need pro gear. Just makes me wonder over the cost when I could achieve virtually the same with a phone. Yours cost 6k mine almost 1k. It would be really interesting to compare them!"

I have 50R and 100 primarliy for photoshoots in the studio and landscape. For the 50R you can get an L-Plate with a grip which helps a lot. I planned to sell the 50R but find I can't part with it. I have the techart adapter and experimented a bit with various canon lenses as I have only the 32-64 and 110 fujis. The milky way above is with Samyang 24 1.4 adapted and the sunset is with fuj 110.

In all honesty I'm likely sticking with what I have (D810) for the foreseeable given the world seems to have been turned on its head at the moment!

i got my 50r last year and love it. the dynamic range and lack of noise is pretty sweet. it's nice to see photos from others, except now i want to get out and shoot but i don't have time to go anywhere.

Stopped down a fair bit to up the odds. This was from my first day and they were travelling west-east in the late afternoon so shadows were an issue. I got a second chance on Thursday when they were heading south around noon so things look a little better. I shot the caravan again with the 645 but chickened out for the riders and reverted to my 1DxII.

After seeing your other post, and spending all day yesterday on youtube and the internet, I too have decided to buy the 907X along with the 45P and 80mm 1.9..............this might bring my 503 out of the dry box as well...............Before you say anything, yes I know I am a mess............but sometimes being a mess can be fun as well

Good choice :)

After having no interest in a week for my x1d ii I decided to take it off the market.

I’d still like the x907 but will wait a bit longer.

Might still get the 45p though..

i bought a peipro hand grip for my 50r. it feels much nicer in my hands now and the grip has a built in dovetail on the bottom for attaching to a tripod.
