Digital is killing fashion photography..

I'd never heard of him before, couldnt care less who he is. I feel I have as much right as anyone to comment on what he says. It's public, didn't think it was restricted to only those on high horses interested in fashion. It's just dim what he says, and does sound bitter. Don't know why there has to be debate on what people think on it. . Then i remind myself where i am.

Read past the headline.

I did, I never heard of him before that is what I mean.

And yeah, re-reading it does help, he's not ranting near as much as I thought initially [I had skim-read it admittedly]

I'm off the cig's 18 days now ... I may be a wee bit more bitter than usual for a little bit ... :D

Which is why I prefer vinyl to CD !

Not that I want to take this too far off thread.

My background is computing and wider electronics and lukily I got to look at some circuits now and again :D My last job was working for a group of manufacturing companies one of which made amongst other things components for some rather high end audio manufacturers you may have heard of.

In the early days of digital some amp inputs were poorly designed, much less suited to CD input than say a phono input is/was suited for your turntable output. This obviously affected what humans hear. However, a well designed CD player coupled to a well designed amp and speakers should produce a very nice sound... assuming that the sound has been well mastered in the first place. Not all recordings are.
