Digital Infrared Conversion

Has anybody on this forum converted a digital camera to infrared operation, permanently changing the internal filter?

Did you do it yourself, or pay for someone else?
If yourself, how did you find it?
Which camera?


Any recommendations? I would prefer 6 meg upwards.

Thanks for the replies. Anybody done a compact? I fancy the Canon G6 or G7, but they seem quite expensive on ebay.
