Just wondering where can I get some good ones, I know the concept is basic but I think I will need one just to sort out the white balance for my photos during PP.
 
For white balance just use a piece of paper, or anything else that's white.

Only advantage to buying a £20 gray card like the one above is that it should allow you to expose for skin by using the card to meter against.

For white balance though this is irrelevant and you can just as well use a piece of paper, cloth, radiator, etc.
 
Just to clarify, when I said radiator I meant as in a white one attached to a wall in the room you're shooting in.

I don't suggest you carry one round with you.

Ceilings or walls also work.

:lol: where can I find a pocket size radiator?
 
The Ezybalance will never change colour - unlike white radiators. None of the 'white' radiators in my house are actually white - they're all different depending on when they were painted. Ditto for white emulsion paint.
 
Test the paper by shooting it and flicking the wb dropper in LR on it. It should register an even mix of colours.
 
Just bought one yesterday by Colour Confidence. One foot square, it's made of fabric, grey on the front and white on the back. It comes in a small fabric bag and springs open like a reflector. Seems sturdy enough. £15

Have you seen how many whites you can get paper in? just put a few sheets from different makers.
A good gray card will be completely neutral, where as a sheet of paper might not
