I was about to recommend this book to somebody in "Basics" so went in search of a link on Amazon

New £1275 Link

Used from £116 up to £758 Link

Now there is a new revised edition available for around £12.00.

Can someone explain the reason for the pricing of the first edition, I am aware of there being a collectables market with books, but would anybody pay over £1000 for a paperback from 2007

haha....looks like decimal point in wrong place

I read about this sort of thing a while back so don't quite remember the details but its something to do with an automatic pricing algorithm which automatically adjusts the pricing in line with other sellers. You can set it to be just a couple of pence more or less than the nearest rival. If you end up with two sellers using the same algorithm of setting the price slightly higher you can end up with these silly results.

Cheers folks

I don't think that it's worth keeping my copy in a safe then :D
