Lightroom 5 and Corel PaintShop Pro X6?

Just wondering if there are any as I'm contemplating between the two.

Lots. They're very different programs, PSP is more like PS, After Shot Pro is the Corel version of lightroom.

Finally had a go with both Lightroom and Corel.

I do like Corel, but I don't think I'll buy it, I think its more of a retouching program. I found Lightroom to be hard to use. I think I'll stick with CS3 for the moment. I might try Gimp soon too

Lightroom isn't hard once you've mastered the basics, it can be confusing and look daunting though.

Gimp is really an alternative to Photoshop, and you already have CS3 so I don't see any gain here. Lightroom is very different. It's not difficult to learn - I found it much easier than PS - and there are plenty of books and online tutorials to take you through it.

CS3 is getting old now. I'd rather use an up to date program
