Hi
My litttle girl would like an xbox for xmas, now whilst this is not a problem for us a couple of things are confusing us.

Why should i buy the cheaper option of 4gb xbox over the 250gb option.
What is the real difference and why would i need to buy the larger one.

Thanks

4gb is plenty of space for a few game saves and stuff. It stops you downloading loads of demos, arcade games, films etc where you really need the storage space.

If you're not a serious gamer, the 4Gb one is fine - I have a 120Gb version, and have not even come close to 10% full yet.

Thanks guys thats the answer i was looking for, thought it was something to do with downloads and gaming etc etc.

You can 'install' the games to the HD, so every time you play it access the disk alot less.
Think a few gig per game :)

There are some games that won't work on the 4GB model as they don't have a hard drive. The 4GB is flash memory not a Hard drive.

So if it isnt a hard drive, isnt this one the early, non 360 model?

I don't know how big your lounge is (You need about 10ft from the tv) or how much you want to spend but it might be worth seeing if anyone is going to do any good value 250GB models with the Kinect controller for christmas.

Thats the one i have gone for.

Got the xbox 360 250GB Kinect with Kinect adventures and one other game of my choice for £279, less the extra Divvy I will get from the COOP when it arrives, so all in all a good deal.

although i must admit the new dashboard looks sweet now

Really??? I think it looks straight out of Windows 98!!!:lol::lol: You hit the center button halfway though a COD game in the dark and its like someone has dropped 25 flashbangs in your room!!! :gag:

Remember for Amazon Black Friday deals next week with 60% off Xbox 360s!

I would go for the 250gb version. Allows you to install games on the hard drive, so the dvd drive isn't used so much. Should mean that the console is quieter and also last longer
