Did you move completely from DSLR to a Fuji X100 series?

No
Having now sold all of my Canon gear and being in the position where I'm about to buy the X100T, I can't help but have a bit of nervousness!

So I'm curious to hear from anyone who had a DSLR & lenses etc and gave it ALL up for a fuji X100, S or T!

Have you done a complete move? How long for? Any regrets? Will you keep upgrading the X100 or just stick with it?

I sold most of my canon gear and moved to an xt-1 with a 27mm and an 18-135.
I kept my canon 5dmk2 ,24mm ts-e,15mm fisheye and bought a sigma 50mm f1.4 so i kept the specialized lenses and a low light lens for interiors where flash is not allowed( ntrust props)
Hope this helps

Totally depends on what you shoot I think. I had an X100 for a while which I loved and used a lot but it was hopeless for certain things, fast moving action, wildlife etc. As an everyday, carry everywhere, shoot all sorts kind of camera though, it was fantastic.

Thanks for this, I don't shoot wildlife or action/sports more family photography, the odd landscape and street so that's a positive comment!

Sounds right up your street for those things

I love my 35mm, and if I had the spare cash I'd love an x100, however I couldn't live with it as my only camera.

Hi,

I moved from a Nikon D40, 18-55, 55-200 and 18-200mm VR setup to the original Fuji X100 setup.
Once the novelty & hype wore off I found I was using it less and it was less useful for my needs.
Question is, can you live with just a 35mm eqiv focal length.

When I bought an X100 (the original), I didn't take my DSLR out of the house for over a year, I just used the Fuji. I found my photography improved as you had to work hard with the X100 to get the shot (composition) that you wanted. In retrospect that was a really good thing, you just can't be lazy with a fixed lens. The whole process re-ignited my enthusiasm for photography, and even now I still take out the X100 occasionally despite having moved further up the Fuji food chain (in the process getting rid of all my DSLR stuff).

The X100 series are truly brilliant cameras. You just need to adapt. https://www.flickr.com/photos/89667368@N05/albums/72157642911852834

I left Nikon dslr's once Fuji released the x100 a few years back. I've, over the last few years have have a few different Fuji x cameras and I can tell you, if you shoot family snap shoots you will be fine with your decision.
As you can see from my Flickr stream I've managed to capture some great memories with Fuji cameras, also a Ricoh GR :).
I have a x-pro1 35mm f2 set up at the moment, I would swap this set up for a x100t all day long. The x-pro1 is fantastic but I'm going to buy a every day camera which is likely to be another Ricoh gr or a Fuji x70.
Be prepared to get gas once you get into Fuji :)

Enjoy

then you're going to be fine.. its when you go for a walk over the canal or a day out at a county or air show where you will see shots you could've got if you had a quicker dslr with lens options. if that doesn't bother you then you are golden.

I love how good premium compacts are nowadays but every time I have tried to limit myself to one it has failed.. you are in a good position though that should you want to shoot the odd wildlife/air show etc... then £100-£150 will sort you out an older body and long zoom to scratch those potential itches.
