The 3rd part, after the New Testament ends is nothing like the bible and that's the defining part of the religion. It talks of beheading non believers, raping the women of non believers, acts of martyrdom and jihad (the struggle).
It even talks of veiled women which is where that oppressive practice of burkas comes from.
.
Sorry been working
The word burqa or burkah is not to be found anywhere in the Quran
Chapter 24 v21 does instructs men and women to dress and behave modestly in society
Chapter 24 v31 instructs women to Cover your chest
Chapter 33 v59 instructs women to lengthen your garments
Chapter 7 v26 says, the best garment is righteousness and modest conduct
Some Muslims base their authority regarding the burqa on the hadith (the collected traditions of life in the days of prophet Muhammad) but written by some scholars, so their interpretations.
The arabic word hijab (loose translation of veil or yashmak in terms of clothing) can be found in the Quran, however hijab can also be translated as screen, barrier, cover(ing), mantle, curtain, drapes, partition, division, divider etc.
It appears in the Qur’an seven times, five of them as “hijab” and twice as “hijaban”. See 7:46, 17:45, 19:17, 33:53, 38:32, 41:5, 42:51. however at no time does it refer to it as a womans dress code.
