Hi guys, i was building a DIY cable release today out of an old headset i found, this was more to do with being bored that anything, as i know these things are cheap anyway. But during my rather lengthy process of trying to get the right wires connected etc, i suffered a dead battery:(

I had the jack connected to the camera whilst on, and played around with the 4 wires to try and get the shutter to fire, which i did and have now built the thing, but the battery is dead, its had an hours charge since to see if it went flat, but no. Im getting nothing out of it in the camera at all. My other 2 batteries work fine though.

Could it of been something i did to kill it, or was it just a coincidence?
I'd read that there was no danger to the camera as its a passive device.

Scared to use the release now tbo, even though it works a treat:shake:

Cheers:thumbs:

Have you noticed any strange lights in the sky above you? :D
