Yes
I bought some PT-04's and have been using them on my Bower SFD35C flash.
The trouble is that it doesnt have manual settings so I assume it is fireing at full power, am I right?

The other thing is that there is now a burn mark on the front plastic so something is wrong?

Could the flash be fireing at over full power?
Would zooming out on the flash actually help?

Should I just stop using this flash with the trigger?

Thanks

If it's only got one setting then it's full power ;)

I'm no expert, but burn marks usually indicate burning, which isn't a terribly good sign on a flash unit -have you been repeatedly firing it in quick succession?

From a quick read up on your flash it seems to be mainly designed to work with the Canon ttl and doesn't appear to have any manual adjustment available, so I would imagine it probably has been firing at full power with the Ebay triggers. With the likes of the Nikon speedlights they don't recommend more than 10 full-power flashes in succession, so it could well be that you've cooked it :(

well it still works, just has a little burn mark. I better watch out in future while I look for a better flash.

Thats news to me, thanks for posting that. Don't wanna kill my flashgun.
