did i do a bad thing?

I went into curry's over the weekend as i was dragged to the shopping mall by the 'better' half.

i got chatting to the guy behind the camera desk and started handlnig some cameras. Bare in mind i only have a 400D , i was soon playing with the 40D and he also let me play with the D700.

why do i feel so bad. I was lusting over both bodies and i felt guilty that i could so easily disregard the 400D that has got me where i am today.

How was the visit to hospital for the 3rd degree burns to your hands, received when touching such an unholy object as a D700? :nono: :bonk: :D

Re The Nikon, if you can afford to change all your lenses/ flashes etc and you want it, then it's not a bad thing.

otherwise just buy me a D700 please:) and keep what you have.:D



or you could get the 40D
 
im set on canon as have (om me anyway) a decent bit of glass! but was interested in what all the hype was with the d700 but it was short lived as they didnt have any full frame glass!

was only killing time but after feeling the 2 other bodies the 400D does feel very inferior! I had to explain to the wife what the difference was between what i had and what she had just seen. and then to confuse her more i told her i should be able to get the 50D by christmas!

to her a P&S does the same as a 1DIII

I feel guilty cos i love my 400D and its like cheating on it with another camera.
 
Only thing is you'll have to get any change of camera past the better half!!!

The 400D won't mind. Think about it, You have gone out, had your play and fun, but its the 400d that you come home too at night right...... all is fine! ;) :lol:
 
yeah but whathappens around christmas time when the 400D will meet a 50D. Well the 400D will be jealous and the wife will be um telling me to sleep on the couch cos i got a expensive camera and she got um 'its the thought that counts' type of gift!
 
keep the 400d & the 50D in seperate bags and llive seperate lives with each of them?!

As for you sleeping on the couch, buy her a posh couch/comfy sofabed for xmas! :lol:
 
A D300 calls to me from a local 'tography shop... I must resist! lol

I think it's obvious that it's time to move onto to the D700 ;)
 
Even the new star wars game shows the Dark Side is more fun:)
