Our radio have just said that Stansted is now closed, and passengers for Heathrow should check with their airline prior to travelling, which was what made me think of it!
 
My wife is supposed to be flying to Germany fro Stansted tonight although the runway is still closed.
 
Well according to the other thread DarkStar and Mrs DarkStar did indeed make it - as far as Heathrow at least!

Hacker - we're about 10 miles as the crow flies from Stansted and it's still snowing pretty heavily here. Not sure much of the fresh stuff is settling now, but there's not much sign of what was there earlier thawing either.
 
We're only about 8/9 miles as well, in Puckeridge.

About the same as us Colin... and its still hurtling down here.

LOL - I was wondering if you were going to come back and change that!

Stopped snowing here and looking a lot brighter. Might stand a chance of getting the car out in a while.
