Yes
We did! :woot:

We had bets on 4 horses, but as luck would have it the one we picked with the highest odds was the only one that came in, and it came in 3rd... Slim Pickings  £2.00 EW @ 33/1.

The hubby has just gone to cash the slip in, someone help a girl out and tell me how much it will be? :|

Did anyone else win?

I was gutted when Simon fell so near the end, we had £5.00 to win on him and we put it on when he was at 16/1. Never mind.

Yup, picked Silver Birch to win. £5 at 28/1 gives me £145!!

Picked the horse on the highly scientific basis of:
1) I like photography
2) I like taking photographs of trees
3) My wife continually gives me grief about taking pictures of trees
4) Silver Birch was the only horse in the National with a tree-like name

RESULT!

Yeah I was going to pick that one, as when I saw it listed I got flash backs of my little sister peeling the bark off our Silver Birches. I wish I had gone with that now instead of Simon

The hubby just called and we won just over £18, so at least we got all of our total betting money back plus a couple of quid :suspect:

Congrats on a very decent win! :woot:

ETA: I posted when you did Keltic ;)

forgot it was on

Asked a mate to pick a number between 41 and 80, he picked 62, so halfed it and put a £2.50ew on horse 31.

Came 4th :) - i took odds though at 66-1 rather than SP (100-1) :bonk:

will have to buy him a pint

I picked the winner and told my son who had a bet (£5 ew @ 33-1) but I didn't :(

I didn't tell the missus about my tip either :( and I'm in the poo over that as well.

Double bummer :( :(

Longshanks was also one of my other picks, and it was sitting quite nicely throughout the race, thought it may have been in with a chance, was listening out for it more before realising that Slim Pickings was up there with the leaders
