Did any1 get delivery from Lencarta from new stock

Hi i just wanted to know if any one got delivery from Lencatra with the new stock that came in this week.

I placed my order on tuesday night and was told i would have them defo by weekend. But thats not the case still nothing to door and website still says Processing.

I little disappointed and had to cancel photos for tomorrow :( poor form :thumbsdown:
 
same as you. ordered on tues night after seeing the post about items now in stock and the free head bag offer. promptly ordered.

nothing so far, no communication just says processing.

would have thought we would have received our items by now if they were in stock.......however they may be having problems:thinking:
 
I'm about to send out emails to the half dozen or so to people who I think may not have had their deliveries.

The fact of the matter is that something seems to have gone wrong but I don't know for certain what's happened, all I can do is apologise and try to get it sorted out on Monday.

I know that nearly all of the orders sent to the warehouse have gone, but the website hasn't been updated with some orders. I haven't been able to contact the warehouse by phone and I understand that their phone service is down. I'm guessing that their broadband is down and that this is the reason why the website hasn't been updated with tracking/delivery info. But because their broadband is probably down I don't know for sure whether orders have been sent out or not, and don't have tracking info for the ones that have been sent.

This problem is on top of a rush of orders, following a period of being out of stock, so this is the worst possible time to have communication problems with the warehouse.

I'm feeling pretty bad about this, and very frustrated. I'm tearing my hair out here, and I shouldn't be doing that because my hair's getting pretty thin without this kind of problem:)
 
I too have been waiting but i have just getting an email saying there having problems. Am a bit gutted as i needed them for the weekend i am not happy i could of had another flash head from somewhere else but stuck with lencarta am frustrated but what can you do ... am stuck now but i guess these things happen :'(
 
Christ people! Those things just sometimes happen. Dont mone about poor service as gary backed to you asap with appology and explenation. At least can learn the lesson now and you want accept jobs before u see your tools.
 
Agree mate nothing Garry could do and he has been very good in coming to let us no what is going on.

Just when you order somethig and all you see on the website is processing you have to ask the question. I only ask as i was told i would defo have them by the weekend.

It was only family that i was doing so it wasn't a true job so now doing it next weekend.

thanks very much for your response to this and im sorry for your hair loss situation......i too am in the same unfortunate boat:D

however, if you knew you would be so snowed under with back orders from your new stock (what a great position to be in knowing your/the products were in high demand) would it not have been better to hold off from announcing the products were available to all until you had satisfied all back orders and therefore not enticing people into purchases you could not realisticly fulfill to the claims on the website.

a previous thread in this section from a very satisfied customer who received their lights promptly still claims their account still shows as "prossesing" so i must take your claims website updating problems with a pinch of salt:|

your response to be fair mate seems a bit "corporate" and beleive it or not i am not a "moaner"....if its going to take a few extra days to ship it out then no problem.

just let me know.....i placed my order from Lencartas thread saying the items were ready to go and to TP members ordering we will send you the free head bag cause you may have been drunk and promised it (you fool:cuckoo::D)

i/we placed my order/s on the back of this.....you sorting it out on monday for delivery on tuesday means a full week of nothing after you claim most deliveries are sent next day or not too far after.

maybe i should have sort elsewhere but i hear good things about these lights.

im not in that much of a hurry but would like some acknowledgment of my £330............

which is still pending i trust?

please please dont take this as a useless moan because it really isnt meant to be, just some feedback of a situation as you have said, you are not happy with.

Am not moaning at garry i have had very good customer service off garry in the past top man. All am saying am a bit gutted as only get a chance to do work on the weekends and thought my goods would of been here. snapsnap asked a question so i answer it :thumbs:

I acted in good faith, it just didn't work out and I feel bad about that.

That isn't how it works, there were no back orders because unlike some suppliers, Lencarta doesn't knowingly make any item available unless it is physically sitting in the warehouse waiting for someone to buy it. Don't take that as a dig at others who do take back orders because it isn't, it's just Company policy.

I admit that there were more orders than I expected, but I also expected that they would go out on time.

I understand what you're saying here and that's almost a fair comment. The website was completely revamped in December, since which time it's been plagued with various problems including very slow loading - believe me, these various problems are no more acceptable to me than to you.
The warehouse updates the various orders on a daily basis, until they have done so the order stills shows as 'processing'. Problem is, sometimes they've tried to do this but the slow performance has made it impossible to get into the backend, so the orders haven't been updated. It would probably be OK next day, or even an hour later after they've gone home for the day, but it's pointless sending an automated email the day after, a bit like the letter I had from the DVLA telling me that my driving licence would be arriving in about 2 weeks, a few days after I got the driving licence:)

Didn't you get the automated "Thank you for your order" etc with details of your order and the amount paid as soon as you paid? You should have done. Because that's automated I can't mess it up, so I'm confident that you did get it:)

Oh, and a heads up - Because of the slow response on the website, our webmaster is in the process of changing it to a brand new, superfast dedicated server which is absolutely guaranteed to solve all the problems - I hope! I believe that this will be over the weekend some time, so the website may be down for a little while but, like the 6 million dollar man, will be faster and stronger than ever before.
 
you may have missed out mate.

was a limited offer i think which you may have missed out of.

I did say that, for a very limited period as an apology to the TP members who had been waiting for new stock to arrive and a thank you for waiting.

Once the new stock had arrived I started a new thread, reminding people that anyone wanting to claim the free bag needed to email Lencarta Customer Support as there was no way of knowing who was a TP member and who wasn't. The thread was deleted and I don't know how many people saw it.

Anyone from TP who ordered a kit (not individual items) can still email and will still get the bag. And if you go to Focus and meet the boss there, just tell him that you forced me to do it:)

as i say, please dont take this as the usual moan because it isnt. i hope it is/was some constructive feedback of people who are eager beavers to get their hands on some lighting:D

i did indeed receive my acknowlegment from sagepay saying my hard earned pennies has dissappeared from my account;)

however a little note from yourselves saying " help, things are going t""s up here" would have been nice and a little more personal.

if im not to get my gear for another few days thats fine mate. i really am not having a pop, however having been in business myself there are ways of handling the worst of it.

i wish you and your depleting hair line all the best. ;)

yes the website is slow (on my computer anyway) but once the gremlins are worked out it should be very slick.

There's a story to that...
When I was lighting mod on Photo.net I pretty much had to post a self portrait on my bio page. I was determined not to show my handsome features so posted this pic. It was only when I looked at it that I realised my hair had turned grey and was going thin on top and that I'd put on weight...
That was a few years ago now, the grey has gone white and the pond in the middle has become a lake
 
some of us kissed goodbye to our hair at 26 my old fruity.

ive been shaving it "phil mitchell" style to make it look more than it is ever since......im 36 this year.....i have failed:bang:;)
 
Garry I seriously suggest a new webmaster, its unbeleivably incompetant for them to run your site the way they are, its clunky and slow.
 
Sorry, but wouldn't this type of conversation (and various others) be far better on a Lencarta forum on their own website? At the very least they would have administrator control of the thread.

Then again, if they cant even run their website, maybe a phpbb forum may be above them also.

i have not used me kit as of yet but have spent some time putting it together (octabox aside) and i have to say i am very pleased. everything seems very very well built for the price i paid (which i might add is very low for what i received) and i am more than happy.

while initially i would have been cautious to use Lencarta again I am sure when things go wrong, things go wrong and its a pain when they do:bang:

i would (initially) recommend the quality of the products to anyone and i am currently eyeing up a beauty dish from them.

thank you garry and the Lencarta team..............i look forward to posting some shots taken with my new toys.:)
 
Ditto that! Very good stuff i have only got one flash out and put it on stand and seems very good for money. All fits nice in the lencarta head bag.

Hope to play with them the weekend and try to put up the octabox
