Anyone used them before?

I want feed back on them, because other than the weather, They seem to take the **** a bit :bang:
I want to know in general if they are a useless delivery service?

Well, I booked a collection at 11.35am and their driver turned up at the door 20 minutes later, so I'm pleased enough with them, especially given the weather

Yeah well they told me they had loads to go through like 4000 packages, But I hope its delivered tomorrow.

I want my camera =[

All delivery firms have good and bad days. But, more importantly, they all have good and bad depots.

If your local (insert courier name here) depot is a dud then avoid suppliers that use that firm.

I, personally, haven't had any issues with DropitHideitLoseit.

not forgetting the weather
We've not had any post at all for over a week now !!!

Who did they send it out with Gary? And yeah I spose the weather is not a good thing either! :'( lol Why did I order it now xD!

i have used their standard delivery...in better times weatherwise
it was always picked up by 12:00 and they kept to the 1-2 days delivery
trackable and consistent
it will come..its insured as well:)

I hope it does, i mean my dads a delievry driver his self, and he said the roads now aint to bad but i guess getting down lanes which havent been gritted is hard!

:'(

Patience young one. I know you want your camera but no amount of fretting will make it come faster.

I've ordered some stuff from Paramo in Wadhurst and the lass said that the courier has picked up the parcel from there and is on a next day delivery, though I didn't ask which courier they use...

I've only ever had 2 deliveries from DHL and were spot on both times in service and delivery times!

DHL - spot on, and they use real time track and trace, so if you have the tracking number for a package you can see where it is in their system.

It must be to adverse weather, Because twice its come up with " not delivered, Adverse weather" etc. So =[ I just hope it arrives tomoz, =[

DHL are utterly useless, I've been let down every single time I've had them deliver something, and their nearest depot is Vauxhall which is a pain in the bloody arse to get to...especially after you've put up with their lying and incompetence long enough already!

I won't buy from a company that uses DHL they are that bad. Citylink, Fedex, RM, aren't always perfect but none have come close to the consistent levels of crap service that DHL strive to deliver.

Pin-balling back and forth between depots for several days before it finally leaves their gravitational pull and heads off to its final destination.

They're all pretty much the same. I've had good and bad service from DHL, citylink and parcel farce. The current bad weather doesn't help at all and I do have quite a bit of sympathy with the drivers (maybe not the management) of all the couriers. I'm afraid it's almost like pot luck. That doesn't help much when you're eager to get your hands on the latest gizmo.

Life's a ***** sometimes :)

cheers

i feel for you there mate, i hate waiting for stuff lol, you must be clucking for it by now, will be so worth the wait though, il have my fingers crossed for you tomorow :)

My latest experiance is they were useless, the carded me while I was sat next to the door aparently the other day I had been waiting in all day. I ended up going collecting the parcel myself. Resutl is that yesterday I ordered my new tripod head and bag from some where other than Jacobs as they use DHL. and the Dropit is very true I need to take a photo of the box after they had had it for 3 days.

I think it has a lot to do with the depot. Our local DHL driver has been out everyday in the bad weather.

I made an arrangement to pick my parcel up from the driver yesterday. He has a 100 mile journey to get to Aberystwyth from Worcester, which took over 4 hours in the snow. He then did a few deliveries in the town and turned round and went home. If he'd been to any of the more outlying areas, he would have run out of driving hours before he got home!

He had some parcels on board which had done the same journey out and back several times already, all undelivered for the same reason.

I made two separate orders, a few days apart from the same website recently. They used DHL. First order arrived no problem, the second took almost two weeks and when it did arrive there was a sticker saying they couldn't find the address and there was a print out of a map of my area on the box. Funny thing is, not only did they find it fine for the first order, but I live in a normal street...not some random country road with no road signs or house numbers..!!

Well my Paramo did turn up today on next day service, but wasn't delivered by DHL, but by FedEx..

Just to correct above, just realised I've had 3 deliveries from them...for a Sekonic lightmeter, a 5D Mark II and a heavy duty bicycle lock...

No problems, even when delivering into Norwich itself..

Royal Mail dropped a few clangers over Xmas and just before. I think it was Panorama that proved that parcels being by RM weren't actually getting delivered. A postie was simply putting a card through the letterbox, you know the one "While you were out we tried to deliver a parcel" and told you to go to your local sorting centre.

Seems like the backlog from when they all went on strike was so big, when they went back to work they simply couldn't deal with the amount of stuff that had to be delivered so was much easy to not actually deliver it but to get people to go and collect it.

I find that all couriers are rubbish.

Slower than if the parcel is just sent RM Special Del. And more expensive.

Park cameras use DHL. Goods arrived here OK, but Park will not reveal the tracking number which is not handy.
