found a sony tx5 online price check and cheapest @ £250 from devon camera centre, but instore only.

anyone know if big chains will price match?

phone up devon camera and beg, I go in quite a lot and they're really sweet in there. Pretty good on prices too.

It's worth asking if they will take a card over the phone as a "mail order" transaction. Sony are doing something which has stopped a lot of retailers from selling their lenses on the internet and won't say what, nor will the retailers.

oh and I spent an hour and a hlaf in there basically chatting yesterday as I had time to kill before I met a client (I did need to pick up a lens too but I'd already sorted it out on twitter )

Pretty sure it's just the 2 shops. Very helpful, although sometimes not as flexible on price as I would like! The Exeter shop is in the Guildhall shopping centre, near the rear entrance to M&S.
