I would like to design a website for my wife. I intend it to be simple with may be 2 or three pages, a few links to other websites, and a few photographs. Can anyone recommend a programme that is simple to use and is compatible with a mac.
 
Have a look at Wix.My Ex used Wix to design a website for her cake business. She's completely computer illiterate but still managed to do pretty much everything herself. It's pretty much drag & drop and adding your own text. It really couldn't get much easier but if you have the right design skills you can make it look really good.

Have you rummaged through some of the hosting services' templates? They can be quite flexible allowing for personal design and expression, with drag and drop, as has been mentioned. Or maybe you prefer a more hands on type of approach. Hope it all works out.
