Yes
Just heard Frank Warren talking about Dereck Chisora and his threats to shoot David Haye. He said he was immature and he should sort it out.

I think he should sack him. Threatening a guys life is unacceptable and all is does is tarnish the sport. The BBBofC should ban him for a year.

He said he would shoot him, not kill him, therefore not exactly threatening his life as he could easily mean shooting him in his other big toe.

That is what his defence lawyer will say.

Just typical boxing promotion stuff that has been done before, it all just adds to the circus to get mugs to part with their money for next fight/rematch on PPView TV.

Boxing is thuggery anyhoo so why should we be surprised?

it is a bullying sport however it was a still a threat, he's done himself no favours as his house will be turned upside down now by police to make sure his publicly spoken words are not put into action.

I used to watch boxing all the time I like a good scrap, I quite liked the style of slapping Klitschko, but this guy needs to know that threatening to shoot someone is not acceptable.

Is burning a euphemism for killing someone? He has crossed the line

What about phrases like 'I'm gonna beat him', 'I'm gonna knock him out', 'I a gonna break his jaw' - all these things have been said before but you don't have issue with those?

Outcome will they will both be 'fined' by the BBBC (British Boxing Board of Corruption) and a rematch will ensue. Very tedious.

Nope, cos they don't make your heart stop. :) well most of the time

In the context of boxing, this is certainly an outcome that could naturally happen... shooting on the other hand isn't.

The shame is that Chisora did himself proud in the ring despite being massively tipped to last no more than a couple of rounds. He certainly put up more of a contest than Haye who threatened so much but did so little.

Whilst I don't care for the Klitschkos they never fail to act with dignity.

Sadly heavyweight boxing seems to be degenerating into WWF wrestling but without the comedic nature.

A couple of weeks back I was watching a rerun of the Ali/Frazier fight in Manilla - that was a true display of heroism on both sides. Haye and Chisora would be pushed to display one tenth of the 'hardness' of these two - acting like a pair of wannabe gangsters brawling in a pub really is something they should both be ashamed of.

Both of them are a disgrace to boxing and espcially British boxing, Haye should never get his license back and Chisora should be stripped of his license and shipped back to Rhodesia.

The slap, the spitting and the afters with Haye are the actions of a complete cretin.

Heavyweight boxing has gone downhill ever since Don King got involved. Whilst I find the Ukranians quite tedious in their style, they are hugely talented and always act with dignity, the other two buffoons should take note.

sadly the tongue in cheek pee taking, (?), only makes the whole debacle more ridiculous.

Bad times for British sport - again:shake:

I presume Frank Warren thought it was just "immature" 20 years ago when he was shot in the chest and almost died.

Of course, when it came to trial, it was another one of Warren's clients who was acquitted of having used a gun to sort out that boxing dispute ...

I hope he is not banned for life. A year will send a solid message that this is not acceptable. A life ban will see him working on night club doors in 5 years time and where it ends up is anyone's guess.

Warren needs to be disciplined as well, he let Chisora go over to Haye and start a scrap.

Did Klitschko's manager say there is no more sky box office for boxing? Or is that for certain stables?

i'm just annoyed that the cameraman got such terrible footage of the brawl, you couldn't see anything.

When I was at school as soon as there was a bundle I was always the first one to the scene to watch.

 Then again when I was at school we all had the brains to form a circle around them

Both are a disgrace to British Boxing and I really hope both get sanctioned.

I agree with Jamo. They are both a disgrace. I used to really like Haye, but now he is a bit of a joke.

Yup, everything is going to be shown PPV on Frank Warren's Boxnation channel in future. A few of Amir Khan's last fights were getting very bad numbers and the Haye v Klitschko one a few months ago was the straw that broke the camel's back...

Wow.

Looks like sky has put there spare coffers into the F1 pot instead of boxing.

I put the demise squarely on their doorstep. Perhaps ITV can revive it like they did with Eubank and Benn

Back on topic :D Chisora was banned previously for biting an opponent, so the bloke is a bit of a loose cannon to put it lightly.

I used to prefer him in 'Most Haunted'... he's gone off the rails since the left that program :geek:
