To help photographers work out depth of field from a given focal length, focus distance and aperture comes a new guide from Expoimaging.

The ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide aims to show the depth-of-field for a given aperture or, alternatively, determine the aperture necessary to achieve a desired depth of field.

'A photographer simply selects the camera's sensor or film size and desired focal length for a given shot,' said a spokesman for UK distributor Flaghead Photographic Limited.

Designed to be small enough to slip into a pocket, the ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide costs £23.44 including a storage pouch and sensor format reference chart.

For details visit www.flaghead.co.uk or call 01202 733 123.

That's a good old thing. I was using a homemade version called DOF master, but wasnt as good as that!

Looking to buy this. Any other thoughts or feedback.
I do not have a palm or other mobile device, so seems like this would give me the "calculator".

Surely if this is such a good thing, there would have been more than just one thread on it

ekso

That sounds like a hell of a lot of money for a DOF guide to me...
