Depth Of Field, DOF, Bokeh, Bokehlicious!

Leave. The sliders. ALONE!!!

Looks more like a composite image.

Ummm you said "bokeh" and "bokehlicious".... You know what that makes you don't you!! ;)

Hmm.. not sure the Creator will be too chuffed with that comment.. :D

I'm curious Dunc, would your comment above suggest it's not your image?
Is this posted for critique or more tongue in cheek to run in tandem with the other thread in this part of the forum?

I think he means THE CREATOR, you know, he made quite a lot in 7 days.

Iain, that's exactly what it's meant to do! I rather over-processed this image whilst half watching football on TV and the other thread amused me greatly.

Bt "Creator" I was referring to Him upstairs. :D

The Creator? Depends on whose point of view you look at that from ;), maybe a discussion for Hot Topics forum.
If its some mythical being we are talking about, I would suggest to them that the image above is suffering badly from chromatic aberration, is over sharpened and over saturated IMHO.

Yes, I'm inclined to agree with you on the last two points. My intention was more this but I got carried away slightly. :wideyed: God and CA are to be discussed elsewhere. :D

We cross posted Dunc.
On the CA, look closely at the edge of the petals, it's almost as if there is a darker line drawn around.

Are you talking about the first or second image? Presumably the first, in which case over processing probably caused that, as opposed to the Laowa 60mm lens.

EDIT: That was a 2 image stack which may account for that.

Not bad, this is with the DSLR, though I can't help feeling the focus is a little soft. I took the same shot on my Zenit B with Helios 44 which is famous for its bokeh, can't wait to see what that looks like processed. (On expired film)

Definitely shallow DOF and a tad soft. f/2.8?

I was given a Sigma 600mm f8 today. It should have interesting bokeh

I'd need to check the exif data to be sure, but yes, around there. I was at the very closest end of the lens ability, I believe I could have got a better focus with a macro filter on.
