I was extremely happy to hit 50 a few years ago.

I'll be turning 30 in March. For the last couple of years I've not been looking forward to it, but the closer I get now the less I seem to care!

I fail to see anything depressing about birthdays. I haven't celebrated one since I was 21, 34yrs ago but I certainly don't mind having another and don't feel old as my sons get older neither.

Much the same for me.... 62 cam and went, I stayed sober

I enjoy the Grandchildren’s birthdays though!

Same here
(apart from my 60th  )

Looking back, I reckon I enjoyed my 40's the most. Settled, sensible (most of the time) still young enough to be adventurous, a bit of life experience to look back on, seeing the kids become more independent, still had my parents around.

Every birthday is a bonus tbh, because the alternative isn't great. ;)
