Anyone know where I can get a small quantity of denatured alcohol/meths to remove old light seals? Or is there an alternative?

Cheers

Andy,
Just use methylated spirit, it cleans the gutters out a treat :)

You can but this at any hardware store.

even easier to get

newsagents ....standard lighter fluid in a can.....£1.25

use in WELL ventilated areas......

also get cuticle sticks from the chemist ...perfect size [of strong wood] to clean out the gutter

I use Isopropyl Alcohol, can't remember where I got mine but :

Amazon - http://SPAM/5w6msef

Farnells - http://SPAM/5sxwbug

and there is always 'The Bay'.

Thanks guys. I shall nip to a famous diy store this afternoon and get some as I want to try and get it done tomorrow.

Cheers

Lighter fluid, that'll get it off (petroleum distillate). Lens cleaner will too but it's not especially strong.

Thanks for the links to the denatured alcohol -

Not sure why denatured alcohol is so expensive though. Vodka is cheaper :(
