Dell monitors - where to buy?

Evening all,

I'm looking to get a 24 inch monitor, probably the U2412. When it comes to camera gear or golf gear I know where to buy. PC stuff not so much!!

Where do people buy monitors from? The obvious answer is Dell but they are far more expensive than Amazon.

Any recommended suppliers?

Recently bought one from Amazon. The Amazon blurb states that there is a 3 year Dell warranty, which I think there is but can't be sure unless I ever need to test it! Trying to sort this out between Amazon and Dell was horrendous. Dell seem to be obstructive to say the least - they obviously factor in their warranty in the extra purchase price when you buy from them.

Amazon were as helpful as they possibly could be. The monitor is excellent BTW :)

Bought quite a few Dell monitors from them - always good prices, very reliable and they have a zero pixel defect guarantee too.

I'd looked at scan but they are the same price as amazon. Looks like pcbuyit are the best priced so far. I'll wait and see if anyone else comes along but I reckon I'll buy it late this afternoon.

Allways better or same as best prices I can find and excellent customer service.

with Dell, you could phone them up and ask for a discount.

when U2711 first came out at £860 in shops, £950 on Dell website, i phoned them up and got mine for £800.

I have access to quite a large corporate buyers acct at dell but they have never been able to match pcbuyit unless you want tens or hundreds of units.
 
Now that's service. Ordered at 2pm yesterday, chose free delivery and it has arrived before 11:30 today.
