Dell laptop problems

I just changed out an old 5400 HDD from my Dell laptop for an SSD and put the old drive in a USB3 caddy. It really is quite snappy - which I didn't really expect. The caddy was about £10 so a no-brainer really.

Slightly off-topic but; the difference in the laptop with the SSD is the difference of chalk to cheese.

Or like upgrading to a much faster laptop. It's also surprising how 'slow' a quad core i7 laptop is when it runs on a conventional HDD instead of SSD.

I had the same problem. I wrote this file to disc on my other laptop. switched brocken computer on and inserted the disc. The disc repaired the startup and it has started up ever since. This file was a repair file for a dodgy update.
