Anyone got a Dell Duo, (netbook/tablet with flip screen).
If so what are your thoughts?
I'm looking at a tablet but iPad doesn't support some of the software I would like to use, so the Dell looks like a possibility.

Ive used one and theyre terribly slow, why on earth would Dell put a full OS on this with its pityful processor is beyond anyone, and the screen is terrible, horrible viewing angles.

Just say no

It sucks in so many ways. A half bodge with normal functionality removed.

If you want a Windows tablet, have a look at the Asus Slate. BUT it is not a light tablet, it is a full power i5 4Gb RAM tablet, so is basically a laptop without the keyboard and a touchscreen instead.

Downside to the asus slate is the £1000 price tag.

There won't be many Windows tablets till Windows 8 next year which will work on a different processor and be more tablet friendly.

Another option (no idea on spec/performance) is the Lenovo X series (I think). The screen rotates around to turn into a tablet.

What software do you need to use? Any chance of using an android tablet with remote desktop to your main PC?

I have rarely used a Dell piece of equipment that I liked....

I have a number of work programmes that need Windows so I would need this when working at customers sites - currently I lug around a Panasonic Toughbook.

Got two Dell desktops that I am more than happy with.
