Bought a Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM 23 inch windscreen 6mths ago,,, developed what i thought was a fault, ended up was 2 different cables were tried and both cables were the issue. However by this time, id been onto phone to Dell,, and pleasant bloke said,, 3 year warranty , will replace no probs ,,, well happy with the outcome. Just have to stick old monitor in box and send back, simples.

New monitor came today, and first thing i noticed wasnt like for like, monitor i was sent was a Dell P2314H 23 inch, after looking and reading reviews looks like, not as good as the Ultrasharp.

Now ... do i

A: Thank my lucky stars i got a new monitor, ill never notice the difference any way

B: Keep old one, as now i know theres nothing wrong with it

C: Moan and ask for like for like, have noticed they only do 24 inch Ultrasharps now
 
update on monitor ,,, tried a bit of C ,,,, and cant believe my luck

Phone Dell back up and mentioned that the replacement monitor wasnt a like for like, the bloke said i should have received an upgrade, when i mentioned monitor wasnt an Ultrasharp he said he will send a DellTM UltraSharpTM U2412M 24 inch out tomorrow ,, asked him about pick up of the 23 inch Ultrasharp , he said, dont bother sending it back , tongue fell out of my mouth.

So im now working out what graphics cards i need to power both monitors

Will always recommend Dell,,, 1st class service

Kept original, as turned out to be a cable issue(holding screw for vga connection fell off back of monitor), so kept the Ultrasharps, sent the 2314H back ,, thou to use the multi-monitor setup using the display-port, im now looking at upgrading graphics card,,,

Now have 2 monitors, looking at using display port, when i workout what graphics card supports it
