Does anyone have a phone number for Dell in the uk/ireland?

My laptop died last week and I'm waiting for some parts, and all I get is flippin india, who pass me from pillar to post and won't tell me when my part is coming!!! :annoyed:

I've now spent the best part of two hours on the phone trying to speak to someone about it.... and I'm almost ready to kill :bat:

You can't speak directly to Ireland unless you've paid for premium support IIRC.

thanks Mark, I'm on the point of giving up and just buying a new laptop :(

Dell UK are on twitter. You could ask them publicly why you keep getting fobbed off with a useless support line!

There's also an email address for the UK manager on CEO email.

I'd imagine they'd have a facebook page too. I would think a public courteous complaint would get things moving.

even then you still have to speak to someone foreign to give them the service tag, they then transfer you :)

could be worse HP are aweful even paying £10,000's in support agreements

If you're paying for business 'Gold' support you get a direct access number- or at least you used to!

I've seen the Twitter approach work, they don't like to be seen to ignore help requests, someone will sort you out as long as you don't rant and rave at them.

FYI

I have found using chat sessions a lot less stressful than using the phone as I can get on with other things, eating dinner, watching TV etc. and just copy and paste the same things over and over again until I get it resolved. I've used this method with Dell, Kindle support and a few others and it really does help :)
