Just got the info from Hot UK Deals about the Dell 1250C Colour Laser Printer which is currently £39 from Tesco Direct. I've just ordered one as a general printer and there's no delivery charge if you collect from a local store. Otherwise £3 ish for del.

Apparently replacement cartridge sets are about £32 so not too bad for a low volume alternative to inkjet.
 
It's a good price. The standard colour toners are only rated for 700 pages so works out about the same as a more expensive inkjet in terms of running cost. However if you don't print much you are not wasting lots of ink by having to clean a printer head so for light use they are very good.

I bought the Samsung 365W last week. Slightly larger cartridges but it was wireless which I wanted.
 
Mine came with lower capacity cartridges. The Dell comes with standard cartridges so buy an extra printer or two as its the cheapest way to buy spare toners by a significant amount :P

It's often tempting to buy half a dozen of these things when they come along but then I just remind myself of the 1/2 pallet of desk lamps I've had in the garage for the last 5 years - I only wanted one but the 1/2 pallet load was going cheap and it felt like a good idea at the time.... :)
 
haha, well if you need a backlight for a studio you're set :)
