my daughter has just left junior school:'( and has taken photo`s of her class mates, but they are not on the memory card. the file no. says 49of49 (there are holiday photo`s on there) i think she has deleted them. is there any way of getting them back. you will be helping a v.v upset little girl.

What sort of memory card is it? Sandisk usually have a file recovery card with them... may be of help???
 
You can indeed but it depends what she's done. There's lots of software for recovering files from a memory card. Sandisk provide a free one when you buy their cards and I've used others with good success.

Search the web for file recovery SD card (or CF card if it's compact flash you use)

All the data will still be there so long as you do not write any data to the card.

The software will search the files and will show you what it can recover. Might take a while depending on the size of the card but take it slow and don't write anything to the card.

Hi Ian,

First, do not use the memory card for anything else! Use the sandisk software mentioned above, and you *should* be able to get them all back
