Hi guys,

new to the forum and already I need help!

I've just received £280 worth of Jessops vouchers and can't decide what to spend them on.

My Kit:

D7000, Sigma 17-70mm, Sigma 85mm, Nikon 35mm, Nikon 55-200mm, Battery Grip, cheapo yongnuo ttl flash

NEX 5N, 18-55mm

My two thoughts were either a 16mm pancake and wide-angle converter for the NEX or an sb-700 for the Nikon.

Help please!

Awkward with it being vouchers or I'd have suggested selling your walkabout or zoom lens and putting the cash from that sale towards upgrading them.

However, you could also pop them all in an envelope and send them to me as an early Christmas present

Ha! Sorry champ, I don't believe in envelopes.

I rarely use my zoom at all but it's not worth all that much so might as well hang on to it.

Maybe sell your sigma 17-70, take that cash and vouchers to Jessops and get a new 16-85 for £440ish if you can get them to price match calumet, wex etc.

I think you can also claim £50 cash back right now from nikon if you buy that lens.

Seeing as you already have a flash [nowt wrong with yongnuo, I still use mine even though I have 2 sb900s] - I'd also suggest selling the 17-70, adding the voucher to the takings and putting the funds towards a Nikon 17-55 2.8 maybe?

I've never really been found wanting for a tripod, a gorillapod is all I need at the moment...

The 16-85 might be worth a shout, but my sigma is pretty sharp as it goes!

Thanks for the advice so far.

Sell the SEL18-55mm and buy the Sony SEL16-50PZ? It's tiny - making it truly portable and it's wide - giving you what the 16mm pancake would offer. I'll also go out on a limb and say the 16-50PZ will be optically better than the 16mm pancake, especially with the 5n's in-camera software.
