Ok so I've been ill for quite a few years now and ended up missing out on finishing my education due to it, not 100% better (not near) but feel with a bit of extra careful time management and planning I should be able to manage it. I've decided on a National Diploma in Photography at my local college, its full time and with all the young'uns LOL but it should be a lot of fun and will open up the opportunity of uni should I so decide in the future. My interview is in just over 1 week and I have to take a portfolio of images but I have no idea what to include tbh!! Any tips would be great.

Before I got sick I was all set to go to Vet school so this is a big change of direction but IMO and much better option for me now.

Can't wait!
 
First of all congratulations on deciding to go to college =]

I think you should include you're favourite pictures, and also ones where you've managed to get the technical elements spot on, like one picture where you've got the depth of field just right and so on. I'm just finishing up a photography course in college now and we have put together our own portfolio over the two years and one thing our lecturer has made us do is when mounting our pictures onto black card, we have to make sure the top of every picture is in line. If you do put them onto black card then this could be helpfull, my lecturer always mentions how the examiners and various people will prefer it as it's much easier on the eyes.

For the portfolio thingy: maybe a mixture of images, show what your made of ;)

Thats Pretty brave of you, well done and good luck :thumbs:
As for your portfolio I guess it would be a diverse mix of your "best ones"
