decided to enjoy my work more.

Same reason with the tv I guess? What size is the tv?

I tried Loxley and couldn't get along with their software, it was irritating me a little. I may try again in the new year when the offers are on.

I found another site, http://www.printlounge.co.uk/ I opted for an alloy box, something different - ended up costing £200 [inc postage to Ireland] for a 56 x 80cm. Going on the tracking number it could be with me today.

I haev only printed and framed one picture of my own that I liked. It's a 12x12 from a rolleiflex and it looks rather good. There is also another one of my wife, son and myself that we took with the self timer that is framed because the wife wanted it, its a rather nice picture! I now have my eye on one of my perigrine pictures from India as the next one to go up...

My alloy-box has arrived, looks great! I was a little worried how it would turn out, as the shot I chose was a bit grainy, a night shot taken at ISO 2500 that required some pulling back of shadows in post. Also I wondered how the 'white' areas would turn out in silver/brushed aluminum.

This is the image I had done up: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cagey75/8265084459/

Here is the result

77mm lens cap in there just for scale.

Great stuff! Loving seeing these prints folks. I love printing but don't have enough good work to get done. Must try harder! I have a box with some of my prints at either 16x12 or 15x10 depending on the aspect, all in 20x16 mounts. They are nice to look through and wot not.

I'm pleased to read that Rob, having just put my first order in with Loxley, I have to say if there print's are half as good as there customer services I'm going to be a happy bunny :D

Signed up to Loxley a few days ago and got a phonecall from them today and had a nice chat with a lovely lady :) Agree with Matt that their customer service, even at this early stage for me seems outstanding :)

whitewall

edit: arse - that was an answer to "where do i buy ali prints" - I didnt realise there was a second page :bonk:

Ha, cheers anyhow. I looked at white wall too, they're more expensive than printlounge I found. I'm happy enough with the quality I got, but obviously, would like a cheaper option for the future if I could find somewhere to match.

I've got a couple of mine, two shots of my wife and one of my lad on display at home, though I've gotta say I still get a buzz and surge of pride when I see my work on families walls, particularly the 2.5metre panorama my in laws parents have :D
