Decent camera straps

The Op/Tech straps are a good balance between price and features. Neoprene straps make light work of camera carrying.

:plusone: from me too (actually 3!)

Crumpler Singapore Slim Sling.

Comfy as a comfy thing, and not to pricey, under £20.

Just to add another vote for the OpTech stapes - not expensive and secure / comfy

I wouldn't be without an Optech strap with DSLR or MF camera.

Optech is my choice as well.

Another vote for the Optech ones, nice and comfortable...

What's the advantage of these over a standard (canon) strap? Sorry if I've taken this off topic.

I know they aren't cheap my I have a BR Sport and love it, can shoot allday with a 70-200 2.8 IS and not be crippled in the morning.

Wide neoprene padding on the shoulder pad - it distributes the weight far better, your camera will feel a lot lighter and your neck/shoulders will appreciate the difference.

It's also more discreet - nothing shouts "Expensive camera! Steal me!" quite like the garish, uncomfortable OEM straps. Some of the OEM straps (the Canon 5D ones in particular and several of the Nikon ones) seem to be more for the benefit of the owners ego ("Look at me, big camera!") than their comfort..

Haha love this. But still doesn't a great big white lens or a big red ring say the same? ;)

Side note, what are the black rapid style china copies like on ebay? I don't want to splash £50 or however much it is for a BR if I can get a relatively similar performing one for more than half the price.

I bought this one recently from Amazon. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but it's light and the two strips of rubber that run along the length of the strap ensures it doesn't slip off your shoulders. Silly thing is the metal camera tab that comes with it though this is easily removed. I was originally going to go for those Z straps but I'm very happy with this so far and may get another.

Bought myself an Optech neck and wrist strap based on the recomendations on this topic - look forward to it arriving tomorrow.
Thanks guys. :)

Optech bouncy bouncy strap I found the strap really annoying with a pro camera the camera would bounce when walking. Went and bought a r strap sling type never looked back.

I've got 2 Q-Strap slings and a Q-Strap dual harness and never had a problem carrying a gripped 5D3 and Sigma 150-500 OS or a gripped 70D with a Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS MkII and 2x MkIII extender for long periods of time. I do find the dual harness more comfortable than 2 slings but with the 2 slings you can put one round your back better when bending down so it's swings and roundabouts.

Had a couple of Q-Straps, great value for money.

Also just got a Optech Pro strap.... Initial impression is I like it...

I would like a strap that fastens like the normal strap that comes with camera, I don't like those that fasten via the tripod screw

Hate being a free advert for Nikon.....

See above, the Optech does what you want.

I have a "Q" Strap, I did not get on with it. Opted for Optech no complaints at all. very comfortable strap.

I did have an Optech one a while back but maybe I had the wrong one as it did attach where I wanted but it seemed to have stuff all over the place got in the way. I think something slide on on somewhere if I remember right

Another happy OP/Tech user - I actually have both the pro strap and the dual harness - the op/tech system of common connectors means I can easily swap between them.
