Debating a new holiday camera Sony A6000 / Fuji XE2S / Other

We will be heading of on holiday soon and I am looking for a small (not too small) set up for both this trip and another few city breaks that we have coming up over the next few months. Went a bit mad the other night and booked us trips too Berlin, Venice and Nice :D

On our last holiday I bought a Sony A6000 for the trip which performed well and did pretty much the job I wanted, I then probably stupidly sold it on as I didn't think I would use it again, this time around though whatever I buy will be being kept as we plan on doing a fair bit more travelling. I have several Nikon full frame camera's and a decent collection of glass but I don't want to be lugging them around with me on holiday. One thing I liked about the Sony was the video capability, I never shoot video normally but found myself doing a few on our last holiday.

So before I go hunting for another A6000 knowing nothing really about mirrorless set ups I thought I would ask on here for recommendations for anything else at similar price points that could possibly offer something different or better. I like the look of the Fuji XE2S as well but am a little unsure on how they compare.
 
I was having the same dilemma, I purchased the Olympus E-M5 MK II with the 12-40mm f/2.8, I now find that this camera is with me more than my Nikon D750

I don't do video but the Olympus is supposed to be very good plus it has the best image stabiliser on the market at the moment.
Any of the cameras above would do the job.
 
Thanks for the input Billy an E-M5 looks interesting but would be more money than I would probably want to spend on kit just for trips.
 
If you were satisfied with the A6000 then I would say get another one. You don't want to go on holiday having to figure out a new system at the same time.

Fair point and have been thinking that myself, just with it being an older camera now and with me not knowing a lot about mirrorless kit I thought it was worthwhile asking if there was anything better.

The camera may be a bit old now but I think it's still regarded as being a very capable piece of kit isn't it? There's a new one out now, A6300 (I think...) but it's a lot more expensive.

If you're looking at something else... MFT maybe... I'd recommend that you avoid camera and lens combinations that could be affected by shutter shock, it's a pet hate of mine at the moment, but I think you'd possibly be better off going for another A6000. I have an A7 which is the size of a mini SLR CSC if used with a compact prime and it gives very good image quality but I have no idea about video and of course an A7 setup will cost more than an A6000. I do think that to do significantly better than an A6000 you'd have to be looking at something costing a lot more.
 
I've got an A6000 and took it to Florida with us last year and will be doing same next year. With a Capture Clip on my belt it's a perfect size for walking around and isn't swinging on a strap. I took the 50/1.8, 16-50 and a Samyang 12mm and they covered all photos I wanted. As you say, the video output is also really good and I used the built in wifi transfer to share photos quickly.

Whilst there is an A6300 available now, the biggest difference is faster AF but I never found the AF on the 6K slow. You may find the Fuji AF slower though so worth testing new a camera out first before you decide.
 
Forgot to say, I also took a Manfrotto Pixi tripod with me which is a great size for travelling when you don't want to carry a full sized tripod.

I blew the highlights but this was a 20 second exposure with the Samyang 12mm on the Pixi tripod;

I actually think that shot benefits from blown highlights :D Very Nice.

Eos M with 22mm f2 is perfect for holidays and so cheap it doesn't matter if you loose or damage it!
