Really liking After. I did a similar shot last year for I think it was entertainment ....

Alien cat is frightening and laughable in equal measures ... like the white bib.
 
hi debbie, nice set of photos, i thought of my cat for ALIEN, but you captured it brilliantly, URBAN is great, that gritty message surrounded by the traffic system, motion blur as mentioned (y)
 
That looks really nice Debbie - all those lovely soft details in the fur and pink nose. Florescent green eyes definitely is Alien.
 
Alien is a rather old photo, i never thought to edit it, bottom left, as i am so used to it. It just shows how we sometimes don't really look. I couldn't make my mind up about the cigarette end in After. I finally decided to leave it in as it adds a little emphasis to the after shot for me. Thank you again for all the comments, i do find them really helpful.
 
Nice take on the theme.I have tried photographing candles and found it hard to balance the brightness of the flame against the background, you have handled the light well
 
Thankyou, i took a lot of photos and only 3 came out fit to use. I think the black base of the hearth helps balance the brightness, as it is reflective. On a matt base the flame just seemed to white out.

Novel idea Debbie - liquid wax. I like the reflection of light against the patterned candle holder.

I like the composition I like the details the light from the flame that has been highlighted on the holder.

Took me ages to decide if wax would work for the liquid theme, thanks for all the kind comments.
Stan the picture was cropped and i didn't get too close. Hopefully the lens protector will have protected the lens. Pure luck as it never even crossed my mind that it could harm the lens/camera :facepalm:

I've just seen your candle Debbie and what a good idea, the liquid cannot escape and the colour is warm, lovely photo.

The Conker is certainly cracked and ready to pop onto the ground into the autumn leaves, another great idea, love the colours.:)

Lots has happened since my last visit to your thread I like your seren reshoot and the colours of your liquid shot are great. My favourite is the conker peeking out throught the crack in its shell and the colours of the autumn leaves.
