Great shot for the theme.
That hole location looks very precise.

Great take on the theme Keith.
Yep - as above. Nice interpretation of the theme Keith and the motion in the drill bit is excellent. Just slightly off vertical though, but that's my compulsion for seeing verticals and horizontals kicking, and others may not worry at all about that.

Excellent!
Agree good take on the theme.
Thank you all for the comments, took a few shots to get it right.

A different take on my idea of precision drilling! I think you have the better shot...

Jealous of your drill Keith, and that you have a workshop.

Pete

Hi Pete, it’s been along time coming, I built it this year and very pleased with it.

Helen, I think the drill your talking about is probably bigger than mine.

Week 43 Vehicle

Skyjack
by Keith Johnson, on Flickr

Trying to think outside the box for this one and was finally lucky when the rain briefly stopped and the Skyjack came into operation...did wonder how the person needing to be in the cage was going to get up there, or maybe just a 'Boys with Toys' moment!

Week 44 Autumnal + Leading Lines.

Keston Lake by Keith Johnson, on Flickr

After yet more rain, I was here at Keston Lakes, wonderful autumn shades and colours highlighted by the sun, showing the beauty of nature.

Lovely Autumn shot. and I like the leading line taking us around the corner towards the unseen.

Two good shots Keith.
Vehicle: two vehicles for the price of one!
Autumnal: great Autumn shot

Vehicle shot ticks the box nicely. Autumnl tis a lovely shot. Great colours and light, and the tech woven in there too.

Week 45 Snappers Choice

RAF Garden Biggin Hill
by Keith Johnson, on Flickr

The Strongest Link Garden...following its debut at the 2022 Chelsea Flower Show, this statue is now in place at its permanent home at Biggin Hill Airport. Standing 4 metres tall and constructed from 223 layers of laser cut stainless steel, the Airman looking to the sky, is a moving tribute to all those who have served and those still serving in the RAF.

Nice one Keith!

Lovely Keith. Good image, topical and nice to know the info behind it.

Really good image Keith, the commentary just makes it that much better.

Good image. The statue looks almost hazy in the image due to it's construction. It must be really interesting when different lights hit it.

Week 46 Destruction

Cards
by Keith Johnson, on Flickr
Destruction of a different kind...the dealer has won with the Royal Flush! Another player faces destruction after what he thought had to be a winning hand, luck wasn't on their side for this Poker meeting.

You’re right yes, the sun on occasions when I have gone past create many more colours and highlight the ‘folds’ in the airman’s uniform. Quite fascinating actually…

That made me smile... definitely lateral thinking on the theme.

I love this cat ornament. The shadows and harsh lighting add to it. Very nicely composed.

Destruction made me smile with the wine glass adding a little something. It reminds me of when my husband tried to teach me poker - he cheated by setting us up with very similar hands to your photo - and I thought I had won ha ha!

My wife’s favourite ornament, we have three cats of our own. The lighting took me a while to get it right.

It was fun putting the poker table together. Wanted to think outside the box so to speak.

As others say, the strong shadows add to the image and I think the positioning is spot on.

Catching up again:

Destruction: great idea Keith and well executed
Ornamental: love the lighting with that strong shadows.

The heavy shadows create a striking image. Nice one.

Nice shot Keith. Ticks the box for the actual light fitting, but the reflections really make the shot stand out!

I was hoping for a classic Aston Martin for this challenge!

I do like the posted shot though.

Lots of curves in the frame of the shade itself and the reflections. Nicely captured.

Thank you all for your comments, having the light on made all the difference.
