I'm intending on purchasing a mini photo studio for some macro photography and still life. I've found a nice little studio and now I'm looking at lighting.
I presume I'll need 4 light sources
- my Canon 580EX mkII speedlite camera mounted,
- 2 lamps either side of the studio,
- a lamp on top above the studio to eradicate shadows.
I've got 2 desk lamps which I want to use as the side lights and I want to replace the bulb to something that resembles daylight rather than the yellow glow. Would something like this solve the problem? My lamps are only rated to 40W with SES screw in bulbs - http://www.cheapenergysavinglightbulbs.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=27_82&products_id=333
Many thanks,
