Davidh6781 - Themed 52 - Week 27 - Art Page 12

Quad is fun - nice colours and composition.

Mechanical looks promising but a bit too dark for me - may be my screen.

Had a dabble with levels heres before and after shot

Beautiful shots !

Not much to choose between the two if I'm honest. Your little car looks great, I think the colour is fantastic. As for the bike bits, much, much better with a touch of light.

I like your quad image David, the composition and perspective are spot on. I like the colour and the lighting too. A fun image, bang on theme.

Your second image for mechanical works better with being lighter. I like the composition and dof with that too. Well done:thumbs: two great images.

David, #1 gets my vote. #2 is just too central in the frame for me. Your first one has a more interesting composition to it. The colours and lighting are more appealing to me in the first one. Well done on the theme, I still haven't got anything yet:(

thanks, there is more to keep the interest in the first one, colour looks nice too. cheers

As soon as this theme came up, this came into my head.

Quad, excellent colours and DOF... The reshoot is excellent. Shoot I'm going to go along with the first one here.

Agree David, the first gun shot works better - better angle better light.

Another vote for gun shot no.1 - good angle and composition, and I like the colour and lighting.

lol i did think it when i uploaded it. Just look through my 52 and it makes me look like a dealer or some thing. lol (I am not though)

Quad is great! Colour is very vibrant as well. I like reshoot as well. Really sharp on the lettering.

Shoto is not really my thing, but that might be caused by my massive dislike of anything gunlike. Technically though, the first shot does look the best.

Fallen a bit behind with your thread sorry David.

Quad : Nice composition and good colours. I also like the angle and point of view you've chosen. A couple of the reflections are a touch distracting - but only a touch.

Mechanical : The brighter one works a lot better for me.
I was struggling a bit with the original, but I really do like the edited version. The water drops work particularly well IMO.

Shoot : Yep I agree with the choice of No.1. Love the gold against the black background and the DoF really works with the angle to give it some oomph.

can't decide so posted both

I think both would benefit from someone holding the gun. I do really like the idea of the second, but for me it would need to be perfectly vertical and much tighter in the frame. :)

Hi Sarah,

The distracting bits of Quad wouldn't happen to be the two orange colour reflections would it? I did think about these once uploaded.

I did like the mechanical better than the original Locks and the light version worked better.

Thanks :)

Hi and thanks i did try putting some one behind the gun, but i just couldn't get it to work, so settled on that number 1.

Yes. I'm not quite sure what they were reflections of, and I didn't even see them the first time I looked at it.
I just found them one of those things that once I'd noticed, I kept being drawn back to again and again if you know what I mean.

Here is my "Single" picture.

Struggled to think out the box and only thing i could come up with was Single Malt.

So Single malt with whiskey glass behind,

Very nice colours and details David. The DOF works well. I agree with Allan about the yellow spot though... sorry

Aha, great minds and all that. Love the perspective on this one, good use of DoF to blur out the tumbler behind. Nice work

Amended the picture and here is my outcome.

Absolutely agree.
I know that's incredibly lazy of me, but that's exactly what I wanted to say.

I really do like this composition with the glass in the background.

thanks all, it seemed to work well and the whiskey went down a treat hehe, it was shame to waste it.

Yep, that's done the job nicely

Certainly works better with the spot toned done. Quite fancy a drop of that myself.
