"David Suchets grandfather, James Jarche, was a prolific, talented news photographer whose work has largely been forgotten. Suchet, a keen amateur photographer himself, wants to look at the world through Jimmys lens. The result is much more interesting than John Sergeants recent photo-based series because not only is it personal but Jarches photos from Churchill to Welsh miners, royalty to West End actresses are quite simply a brilliant snapshot of a bygone era.
