weekly Dave's 52 Week 52 Showcase and Finished

Good use of the vertical and horizontal parallels Dave.

Your first shot fills the bill Dave but your second shot is definitely more interesting. Love her fuzzy shoes (slippers?). And the Deadwax sign in the background also grabbed my attention.

Thanks Bill, I think @Cobra wants a pair of those slippers lol.

Nicely done metal and tech shot Dave, but this furry slippers/shoes o_O

Good on theme shot plus tech Dave.
An interesting second shot, X100V was made for this.

Both lovely shots Dave but I really like the shot of the lady. I‘m never brave enough to atte pics like that.

So was out trying my all new 100 strangers project today, when I stopped off for a quick pint when I saw this lady with her pet snake @Cobra might know what it is called.
I asked if I could take a photo of them both and she agreed but said she only wanted her Treasure to be in view. So two from me today.

Only you could be so lucky as to be out and meet someone who's snake is called Treasure :) How lucky is that? Or was that her 'pet' name for her pet?

I think you will win the award for the most unusual treasure Dave, well done :)

Thank you Bebop and yes she called it treasure so how lucky was I today.

Well that’s different Dave.
Not my kind of treasure but very interesting.
looks like a long snake as there more coiled on her back/front (can’t tell)

Thank you Peter, sadly she did not want her face showing so had to crop a bit and it got some of her pet. It was quite a length too wrapped all up her arm.

I believe its called treasure? :D

At a glance I thought it was a Boa constrictor, with a slightly odd shaped and coloured pattern, which with all the morphs being bred these days, wouldn't be unusual. Boa's tend to be a favourite with large snake keepers, as they are very placid, and grow to around 8 feet.

But looking more closely at its eyes, that's a reticulated python, Boa's have dark coloured eyes, and usually have a "bar" running horizontally through. Retics have orange coloured eyes.
They are the most aggressive of the large snakes. And can grow up to 30 feet in length but rarely do in captivity.
Its a nice healthy looking one, you can tell be the iridescence in its skin, when the light catches it.

Not exactly what I would think of as a treasure but to each their own...
Good capture Dave.

Thank you Chris, I loved the blue on it when the light hit it and many folk were stopping to stroke it. Yes she did name it treasure so I was lucky today, might do the lotto lol

A different take. I really like the colours and detail on the snake.

The photography gods were definitely shining on you that day! What are the chances?? Top points for hitting the theme!

Nice building!

The lovely pavilion again. Fits the bill nicely.

Is the building still used? Can you go inside it? I do hope they don't let it fall into disrepair.

Thank you Bebop, yes the public can go in for a tour but no photography inside at all as that's a big NO NO, sadly it really is in need of some TLC as it is in need of repair in some parts.

Now that is a stunning building, from a different era. If that where around here it would either be run down beyond repair or worse.

Gosh I wonder why they are so strict on photography? It does look like it would be worth seeing.
