weekly Dave's 52 Week 52 Showcase and Finished

Thats a great mural, the colours really work ... nice image Dave.

I'm still working out the jazz connection though ;)

That's a really striking image (both yours and the artist's)

Thank you Duncan

As graffiti goes, this is pretty good! Well captured.

Thanks Simon.

I love your graffiti shots Dave, it's great that you get to shoot them. We don't get nearly so much choice.
Do you think that's Taylor Hawkins? It gives be that vibe, but I'm not sure.

Thanks Tim, yes it could well be Taylor Hawkins.

Both lovely shots Dave, but that roof is amazing!

I've never seen such a ragged edged flower before. It reminds me of torn paper.

Thank you Bebop, I think the angle for the pavilion is better this way as it shows more. The flower is in the pavilion gardens and the photo does not really show how paper torn it really looks.

TBH, I prefer the flower to the (? Brighton ?) pavilion shot. BUT, it's YOUR choice, not mine! :)

Given the sky is fairly blue, it's a shame the sun wasn't on your back illuminating the pavilion (but I don't know the orientation, it could be that this side never gets the sun?)

Thanks Tim, the sun hardly ever hits this one side when it's out sadly.

Nice shots but I think the roof gets it.. you could be in Russia... ahem... :exit:

Nice load of trees Dave, I can see the councils lighting contractor using a set square to align the lamp post even thro the ground is not level.

Pete

LOL, glad you put in the disclaimer about the angle of the lamppost Dave. I looks like it's the left hand bracket for the tree on the right.

Nice shot Dave. I love to see the trees in early spring when the leaves are so vibrant.

Thank you folks, this part of town is very hilly.

Discarded - I wonder how long it will be before discarded masks are not a common sight? An unfortunate sign of our disposable society.

Flora - I like the yellow theme running throughout the image with the lights tying it all together.

Unusual - It must be difficult for a graffiti artist to envisage the full mural when they work so close to it. I image it would be like editing a photo but only seeing a small section at a time.

Snappers Choice - Very interesting shots, the flower looks very delicate. The roof on the pavilion is impressive.

Trees - It does look like a steep path, maybe the lamppost (feels strange not splitting into two words) is there to support the weary giving them a solid structure to hold on to.

Thank you Stuart.

Great picture there, fits the theme!

Thank you Simon.

I like that. Good observation skill - very clever.

Thank you.

I really like that Dave. Well spotted. The light coming through it is a bonus.

Thank you Bebop, I was going to put in a saxophone but thought I do to many jazz shots for the 52.

So simple. So effective!!!

Great capture Dave. Well composed and minimalist with really good processing. A+

Very nice, well spotted and great for the theme.
