A very interesting whatchamathingy!

Through a window and reflections... plus technology... that covers multiple posts and tech :)

Thanks Dave.

It looks cool even if none of us know what it is...

Thank you.

Well spotted, Dave. An interesting piece of device.

Cheers Stan.

A fascinating bit of kit Dave and well seen.

Thanks.

Thanks Helen.

See to many of those around still. Dark area top left does not contribute to the image in my opinion

Pete

Seeing those discards is a depressing sight.
For me, I'm not convinced that the B&W treatment works, as the textures and sunlight don't come through.

Very much a sign of the current times there Dave. Black and white works for me, though l might just have reduced contrast a bit.

The newest form of litter… food spot.

Thanks folks, it seems the new thing to litter the streets now sadly.

An idea I also had for this week. It seems face masks are the new fast food wrappers. IMHO this may have been better in colour to make the mask stand out(?).

Nice image Dave, tells the story of todays society

Bloody things are everywhere and unlike normal litter, a conscientious litter-picker isn't likely to touch this with a barge pole.

I agree with other comments that colour might work well. A nice bit of social documentary all the same.

Well spotted and composed.
To me colour would work better with this.

Sorry for late reply folks, have a lot on my mind at the moment.

Not sure where you're at in your area Dave, but they lifted the most of the mask mandates where I am and this would have discarded in a fit of joy, I'm sure!

Thanks Bill I'm in Brighton UK, I still wear a mask when it gets busy when out and about here.

I hope it was water in the bottle - waste of a single malt otherwise.
Both good for the theme, I think the B/W works well.

The B&W works really well ... nice image.

I hope you personally emptied the bottle of Talisker ;) ... it's not a bad malt however my preference for an Islay malt ... 16yr Lagavulin

Great shot Dave, I'm partial to the b&w. Love the bokeh from the lights.

Thank you, don't touch the stuff anymore, as I sadly go crazy.

I really like the mono version - but then I'm always a sucker for a mono shot!

Ah one of my favorite drinks! Lovely shot and fits the theme well shame the weather spoiled your plans.

Nice flaaarz - nice bottle. I have a bottle of the 18yr old here that'll probably get opened this week :)

Thanks Bebop, still got the chest infection as have been in bed for the last few days.
Sorry to hear that Dave. Perhaps you can manage something Unusual from home this week.
I need to get a backdrop like you have. I'm always scrabbling around trying to make something work as a background.

I think it might well be an indoor shot for the theme.

The colour version for me dave, but both nice images.
