weekly Dave's 52 Week 52 Showcase and Finished

That is all done and dusted! Reading your post, I was a bit worried that a damp patch was going to be the consequence of all those pints :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I'm hugely relieved to see the lovely reflections in the puddles on a damp day.
I like the simplicity of the second shot, but both fit the theme, and I like the B&W processing.

It was only two pints thank god so would need a good few more for a mishap lol.
Thank you too Bebop, both were Jpegs as the GR III is great on B&W.

I like #1 Dave, but love #2.

Right up my alley...wait, that was a couple of challenges ago...

Heavy - fits the theme and I wouldn't have had a clue what it was if you hadn't said.
Light - great shot, really shows the 'action' and you've captured the atmosphere too.
Reflections - both nice and fit the theme well, and both work in mono.

Thanks Jim, I hope to be back to the same place for jazz later today.

Nice puddle stuffs :)

Light is nicely done, the sharpness of the musician and the slow falloff, so features of the audience can be seen. I can almost hear that horn.

Both damp shots work, but there's a little more to your chosen shot.

Cheers Nick.

Nice image Dave ticks the challenge theme & tech boxes. I prefer the 2nd image more it's a much cleaner image.

Works well in mono. I think I prefer your chosen shot as the reflections I find more interesting. I might have been tempted to crop the bottom slightly but that's a minor issue. Nice mono!

I like that you have engaged your subject in your chosen shot. Good eye contact. The other pic is good for the theme too.

I used to play bass and I'm so glad I didn't have to cart a double bass to gigs!

Both nice shots and although I think the second shot is a cracker, I feel the first one is more on theme

I like both of them Dave. Was the man a friend or just one of those that likes to have his picture taken?

Thank you both.

That's a cracker of a portrait. Love the blurry sax player too.

I like them both Dave. For the theme the first for me but the second fits the bill and is a very good portrait with excellent bokeh.
That pub has clean windows!

Both good shots but #1 has the edge for me as it does fit the theme more obviously than the second.

Both are good images Dave which fit the theme, image 2 though has a sense of goofiness which I do like

A couple of lovely shots Dave. You’ve caught a great expression on Jason’s face but l just prefer the bass and the window best for the theme.

That’s looks like an interesting bit of kit Dave. It’s a shame that some is in shadow, but I doubt there’s much you could have done about that!

Thanks Simon, it was a shame where ever I stood the shadow ruined it.

I'm not sure what it is Dave but there's lots of tech in there.

Thanks Peter, I have not a clue what it is either, when they redid the new part of the Lanes it appeared in the window.
